About Us

At Le Pas De Danse, we’re passionate about creating an encouraging and inclusive space where students of all ages can explore and grow through dance and the physical arts.

We are proud to be a certified ADTA (Acro Dance Teachers Association) studio. All of our current Acro instructors are ADTA registered. This progressive, safe, and effective syllabus offers examination opportunities and is exclusively available through Le Pas De Danse in Northwestern Manitoba.

With studios based in The Pas and Flin Flon, our regular dance seasons run from September to May and wrap up with exciting year-end performances.

We also offer arts camps and workshops throughout the year for all ages and experience levels.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue growing and bringing quality artistic training to more communities across Northern Manitoba.

Patty-Jean profile

Ms. Patty-Jean

Director and Head Instructor

Patty-Jean St. Hilaire’s artistic journey spans over four decades in dance, music, and theatre. With more than 30 years of teaching experience, she brings depth, creativity, and heart to every class. Her foundational training began in ballet, theatre, and music as a child and continued through professional studies at the Winnipeg School of Contemporary Dancers (University of Winnipeg). She’s also completed advanced training through the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Summer Teacher Courses and the Granville Ferry Summer Professional Dance Program. Patty-Jean holds multiple teaching certifications, including Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexibility, Kindermusik, and the Acro Dance Teachers Association (ADTA). She is also the new Junior Division Coach for ADTA, training teachers internationally through online instruction. She is the founder of the iCreate Movement Method—a process-driven, healing-based approach to movement and expression. Many of her former students have gone on to pursue university dance programs, becoming successful performers and educators themselves. Patty-Jean is passionate about nurturing artists in all forms, believing deeply that “in some capacity, everyone possesses the soul of an artist, a dancer, a creator.”

Lindsey and her two daughters smiling

Ms. Lindsey

Studio Coordinator

Since 2009, Lindsey Enns has been a dedicated presence in The Pas community, bringing both experience and passion to every role she takes on. As a long-time supporter of the arts and proud dance mom to two daughters, she has spent years encouraging creativity and commitment in young dancers—both on and off the stage. Originally planning a short stay in The Pas while her husband studied at UCN, Ms. Lindsey quickly found a deep connection to the community and now proudly calls it home. In 2023, she officially joined the Le Pas De Danse team, where she has become an essential part of the studio’s operations—working closely with Patty-Jean to coordinate competitions, recitals, costuming, and the many behind-the-scenes details that keep the studio running smoothly. Ms. Lindsey is known not only for her organizational talents but for her heart. Whether stepping up in a moment of need or quietly supporting others from the wings, her presence is felt in every corner of the studio. We’re grateful to have her as part of the Le Pas De Danse family.

Danita smiling with a waive

Ms. Danita

Instructor - Flin Flon

Danita Stallard is an artsy individual living near Flin Flon, MB. Her love for dance began as a "tiny tot" and has grown into a passion that continues to this day. Danita has completed the ADAPT and CDTA syllabuses in both Jazz and Tap, and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet with merit. After twenty years in the studio, she took a short break from the barre to pursue her other passion: illustration! Though she continued to dance barefoot in the woods between doodles, she's sorely missed her pink slippers and is excited to step back into a real studio as part of Le Pas de Danse's team! We’re excited to welcome her to our Flin Flon location, where she’ll be teaching Jazz and Ballet to our Junior and Intermediate dancers.

Ms. Kayla

Lead Instructor - The Pas

Ms. Kayla Wyonzek has been teaching with us at Le Pas de Danse since September 2023. She teaches all of our Jazz, Funky Kids, and Urban Rhythms classes, from ages 5 through adults! Kayla has also become a huge asset to our competitive dance family, lending her support and expertise backstage at competitions and, more recently, bringing her own choreography and pieces to the competition stage. We are so excited to see her continue to grow in this role! Kayla has been a devoted Dance Mom for the past few years, and although she may be a newer face at the front of the classroom, she is certainly no stranger to dance. Kayla started dancing at the young age of 2 and began her formal dance journey in Ballet at age 5. She went on to add Ukrainian Dance, which grew into a passion for multiple disciplines, including Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Modern/Contemporary, and Tap. Kayla began competing at age 6 and danced competitively until the age of 19. Her favourite dance styles and passions are Ukrainian, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Lyrical. One of Kayla’s treasured mottos is: “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain!”
